| Let
me be the first to welcome you to Studiopath.NetWORK
My name is Keith Kjornes and I'm a writer in Hollywood. For as long as I've been here, I've surfed Craigslist, and the one thing I've noticed is there are hundreds of talented, creative, skilled, savvy people looking for their big break.
Actors and actresses banging on the doors of the movie studios, searching for agents and managers, rushing back and forth to auditions and seminars and workshops. Directors hoping to cast a short film, producers trying to find that one guy or gal with a laptop and a spare hard drive so they can cut their video or equalize some audio. People with gear and grip equipment trying to hook up with other like minded individuals-- and repeatedly having their posts flagged or their dreams and desires scammed. |

For what it does, Craigslist is fine. But what we need-- in my humble opinion, is something less scattershot and chaotic, someplace more defined and specific-- a one stop shop where we can
get together and congregate, a group of like minded individuals, all pulling on the same end of the rope.
This website is nothing more than a place to exchange ideas, talk among ourselves publicly or privately, and, at the same time, treat each other with respect and the proper amount of decorum. The internet predators who plague Craigslist will follows us here and we'll have to deal with them, but at least we'll have a place dedicated to one over riding philosophy we don't fully understand ourselves but which, in some way or another, motivates us all.
Hunger. The true definition of a Starving Artist-- one hungry for the chance to work, hungry for the opportunity to show what we can do, hungry to accomplish our goals and stretch our talents. Hungry for something we really can't define and certainly can't articulate to our friends and family.
Here, actors and actresses will meet directors and
producers looking to make short films, music
videos, one minute movies-- who knows what else. Screenwriters can
post samples or whole scripts-- and only registered
members will see them, if that's the way they want it. Here producers and directors and ANY MEMBER can post their requests in Blogs or Events-- and invite the whole community to see them without fear of flagging and deletion.
